Big Man James (ENG)
Big Man James is a Blues-Rock band from Codogno, Italy made up Big Man James (Giacomo Cassoni) voice and guitar, Michele Zanoni bass guitar, Davide Bergamschi on guitar Alex Janev on the drum and Nicolò Moschera on the organ and piano.
The band released an EP, My Clouds (2017) and its first album Another (2018). This work has been reviewed from different website and magazine as Il Blues, Rockon.it, Buscadero, Blues Magazine, Baoblog-RocknRoll398, Rootshigway e Highwayitaly. Between 2020 and 2021 the band produced two unreleased singles, Beyourself (2020) and White Flag (2021). In April 2022, the band released a new EP, Step Into the Real Life (2022), consisting of 5 previously unreleased tracks.
Big Man James performed as opening act for different national and international artist: Kyla Brox, Joanna Connor, Carvin Jones, Francesco Piu, Fabio Treves, Davide Van De Sfoors.
In January 2024, Big Man James went to Czech Republic and Slovakia, playing at the Znojmo Jazz Festival, Múzeum obchodu Bratislava, Zatec, Kolin and other cities.
In July 2022 Big Man James is one of the three Italian finalists of the International Blues Challenge - Italian Selection and in the summer of the same year he participates in the Malcesine Blues Festival 2022 and flies to Romania at the Open Air Blues in the Garden Festival - Darmanesti. Two tours in Romania and the Czech Republic are already planned for 2023.
During the 2020 they took part to Italian Blues Union relaunch project with Veronica Sbergia, Max Lazzarin e Eugenio Finardi.
In October 2019 Big Man James has been selected as one the four finalist for the Italian Blues Challenge.
The band had played in various important blues festivals: South Italy Blues Connection (VI-VIII editions) in Matera, Malcesine Blues Festival (VIII-IX-X-XI editions), Festival Blues di Finale Ligure, Blues Made in Italy (VIII & X edition), Forlì Blues Festival, Lodi Blues Festival.

Big Man James è una band Blues-Rock di Codogno, formata da Big Man James (Giacomo Cassoni) voce e chitarra, Michele Zanoni al basso, Davide Bergamaschi alla chitarra, Alex Janev alla batteria e Nicolò Moschera all'organo e piano.
La band ha all'attivo un EP, My Clouds (2017) e il primo album di inediti Another (2018). Quest'ultimo lavoro è stato recensito da diverse riviste e siti del settore come Il Blues, Rockon.it, Buscadero, Blues Magazine, Baoblog-RocknRoll398, Rootshigway e Highwayitaly.
Tra il 2020 e il 2021 la band ha prodotto due singoli inediti, Beyourself (2020) e White Flag (2021) e ad Aprile 2022, ha realizzato un nuovo EP, Step Into the Real Life (2022), composto da 5 brani inediti.
Big Man James è stato opening act di artisti di fama internazionale: Kyla Brox , Joanna Connor, Carvin Jones, Francesco Piu, Fabio Treves, Davide Van De Sfoors.
Nel gennaio 2024, Big Man James ha effettuato un tour tra Repubblica Ceca e Slovacchia, suonando al Znojmo Jazz Festival, al Múzeum obchodu Bratislava, Zatec, Kolin e altre città. A Luglio 2022 Big Man James è uno dei tre finalisti italiani del International Blues Challenge - Italian Selection e nell’estate dello stesso anno partecipa al Malcesine Blues Festival 2022 e vola in Romania al Open Air Blues in the Garden Festival - Darmanesti.
Durante il 2020 ha collaborato alla realizzazione del progetto Italian Blues Union a favore del rilancio del blues italiano insieme a Veronica Sbergia, Max Lazzarin e Eugenio Finardi.
Nell'ottobre del 2019 Big Man James è una delle 4 band finaliste dell'Italian Blues Challenge.
